We know your life is filled with the responsibilities of family, work, church, and ministry. Uptick Global is not about adding one more thing to your busy schedule.

Rather, Uptick is about inviting you to draw near to Jesus, listen to what he is saying, and follow where he leads on this great adventure as his disciple. It is about challenging you to develop a deeper relationship of abiding in our Lord (John 15). It is about equipping you to serve and lead more in the power of the Holy Spirit (Zechariah 4:6) as a disciple who makes disciples (Matthew 28:19).

Uptick is about becoming a Jesus-shaped leader.

What does this journey look like?

We take you on a ten-month journey to help you grow in your character, confidence, and skills as a Jesus-shaped disciple by

teaching you key lessons about the ways, words, and works of Jesus
inviting you to deepen your relationship with Jesus
challenging you to be accountable in your walk with Jesus
providing a confidential place to share your struggles and victories
giving you an opportunity to develop relationships with your leaders and other participants who will support you in this journey.

A prophetic word was imparted to Uptick Leader Paul Maconochie that the Church is at a hinge point in history where the next big move of God will be led predominately by women, particularly women of color.

A few years earlier Paul received a prophetic vision that the Church in the Western hemisphere is being called to invest its resources (time, talents, and treasure) into Church in the East, which is being called to send people to prepare for the next move of God.

THIS IS BIGGER THAN UPTICK

In collaboration with the Baptist World Alliance Women (BWA Women), Uptick launched Uptick Global: BWA Women, a global movement of Jesus-Shaped Leaders comprised of women from each of the seven Continental Unions of BWA Women*.

Fourteen women from around the world gather for 10 monthly sessions to learn the foundational Uptick concepts of becoming a Jesus-shaped leader. They also meet monthly with their prayer partner, the other woman from their Continental Union, and their mentor, the President of their Continental Union.

*The Seven Continental Unions of BWA Women are: Asia Baptist Women’s Union, Baptist Women of the Pacific, Baptist Women’s Union of Africa, Baptist Women of North America, Caribbean Baptist Women’s Union, European Baptist Women United, and Unión Femenil Bautista de América Latina (South America).

MUCH BIGGER

In addition to the BWA Women cohort, we are stepping into the vision of collaborating with the leadership of a Continental Union to develop a scalable and sustainable model of cohorts within the multiple countries of that Union. Our first step into this vision is with the Asia Baptist Women’s Union (ABWU) which has 20 countries and 36 member bodies. We anticipate launching this cohort in the fall 2024 with about 60 young leaders.
